Welcome to THE 3RD CAFE by Standard Coffee, a delightful haven nestled on the 3rd floor of the stunning Toranomon Hills Mori Tower in Tokyo's vibrant Minato City. A fusion of modern design and welcoming ambience, this cafe offers not just a place to grab your daily brew, but an experience that caters to coffee aficionados and casual visitors alike.

As you step inside, you are greeted by a spacious and stylish interior that boasts both cozy nooks and ample seating for the work-focused crowd. The facade may appear modest, but venture further and you'll discover a roomy back area adorned with comfortable seats and plentiful power outlets – perfect for those who need to stay connected while enjoying the café's offerings.

Speaking of offerings, the menu features a delightful selection, including their signature フィセル 生ハムサンド (Ficelle Prosciutto Sandwich) priced at a modest JP¥400. Imagine sinking your teeth into this beautifully crafted sandwich: fresh bread enveloping a delicate layer of savory prosciutto that teases your taste buds with each bite. The quality of the ingredients shines through, making it a fulfilling choice for lunch or a quick snack. Pair this with a carefully brewed iced coffee, which, while served in a stylish jar, has sparked diverse opinions among patrons, showcasing the cafe’s commitment to presentation.

Customer experiences at THE 3RD CAFE provide a vivid snapshot of what to expect. Shannon Jacobs pins a “weak four” in her review, noting that while the flavors and ambiance are commendable, some aspects, like limited ingredients in certain dishes, could be improved. However, her feedback is balanced by Kenta's glowing remarks about the tranquil environment, especially perfect for soaking up the morning sunlight while typing away on a laptop. Austin S. Lin also appreciates the spacious and well-equipped area, highlighting the free building Wi-Fi that enhances the cafe's appeal for remote workers.

Another satisfied patron, Dinyar Ghyara, praises the friendly staff and quality coffee, reinforcing the cafe’s reputation as a welcoming spot for both locals and tourists. Meanwhile, M K shares a bit of honest feedback about their chai, calling it a straightforward brew but appreciating the rarity of it being served extra hot in Tokyo cafes. With prices that are quite reasonable, it's easy to see why many return for a relaxing day of work or a casual meet-up.

Whether you're looking for a brief respite from your busy day, a charming backdrop for creativity, or just a good old cup of coffee paired with a tasty sandwich, THE 3RD CAFE by Standard Coffee is a must-visit destination in Tokyo. With its thoughtful atmosphere and inviting service, it's a little slice of neutrality amidst the city's hustle and bustle, waiting to welcome you in.

Feel like it's a weak four, though it's a little hard to say why. The bread was good, though small, the ingredients were scant, though the price wasn't too bad, and the jar for the iced coffee felt kind of pretentious, and a bunch of little things that are nagging at me. Most of the seats look comfortable, though this one isn't as good as I thought, and it's supposed to be computer friendly, though I had connection problems with both of the Wi-Fi networks I tried to use.

Visited on Sunday morning. The interior was very quiet and comfortable, making it an ideal place to spend time. Working on my laptop by the window was especially pleasant.

3rd Floor of the Toranomon Hills office building alongside the other shops and restaurants. Free building wifi. The front facade looks deceptively small with a counter, bakery case and merch area, but there is a spacious back area with lots of seating and outlets. This is an outpost of Standard Coffee, operated by the fine folks that brought you the western style Japanese diner chain, Royal Host. . Nearest Metro stop is the Toranomon stop (G7) on the Ginza line / Toranomon Hills stop (H6) on the Hibiya Line.

The blueberry bagel was really chewy! The chai was not sweet- literally just chai tea with frothed milk. Asked for extra hot and they delivered (which is surprisingly rare for cafes in Tokyo!). I wouldn’t get it again just as I love a good sweet chai. The price was really good though. Overall good cafe to do work at and use internet!

Very nice cafe with a variety of items on the menu. Honestly their blend coffee was really good, and their masala muffin was good, although not great. The space was perfect for working and studying.
